I was invited once to a drinking session by my life partner and his friends at the recently opened Central BBQ Boy Grill at Madison Square in Pioneer St. It was a spacious, non-aircon resto bar with some alfresco style umbrellas and tables on the side. All occupied tables had lighted candles on top. Most of the people I saw I assumed were call center agents because of the IDs they were wearing.

When I arrived they were already drinking so I asked the waiter for a menu. My jaws dropped when I saw the prices of the food selection because it was way way less expensive than I expected. Almost 98% of which costs below P100. And so my food trip began.

Even before ordering I had fun reading their uniquely named food selection. I even had to ask the waiter if I could have the menu for a while so I could read on. There’s Inihaw na Ba?Boy (Liempo), Fish Be With You (Grilled Tilapia), Boy Negro (Grilled Pusit), Baby Boy (Grilled Pork Ribs), Boy2 (Tuna Belly), Buttman (Chicken Ass), Boy Kabute (Sizzling Garlic Mushroom), B2K (Crispy Bituka) and Tender Loving Chics (Chicken Tender). Aside from beer (P32 – P35 only), they also serve Cocktail Drinks in a Pitcher like their signature mix Bad Boy, Bad Trip (Vodka, White Rhum, Gin & Juice) and Bad Vibes.

My personal favorite is the Chicken Skin, deep fried crispy chicken skin served hot with vinegar and Boy Kabute. Their Macho King (Nachos with beef and cheese) is also good and only costs P105.00 top that!

Central BBQ Boy Grill is an ideal place to have your drinking session with friends. It is not your typical bar but it sure is relaxing, so relaxing you could go there wearing even your homey clothes.
