“Someone is bringing fairy tales back to the city”…this was the tagline on the cover of her invitation as the debutant, Anna Dominique Esmeralda daughter of Atty. Reynaldo and Mrs. Tess Esmeralda, celebrated her “Enchanted” themed party.

The Victoria Hall 2 of Fernbrook Gardens was transformed into a Banquet Hall fit for a Princess. Candelabras with fruits and loaves of bread were on every table. The stage was decorated first with a Fairy Tale peg and was later transformed into a City look.

Nikki wowed her guests with a grand opening production number where she sang and danced to the tune of “That’s How You Know” from the movie “Enchanted”. Her Ninongs and Ninangs were the participants for the 18 wands as they all gave intangible gifts of virtues bequeathed to the young princess. A wooden Gazebo was constructed inside the venue for the Royal Dance. In lieu of the traditional 18 Candles, 18 Lamps were used as contrast to the City backdrop during that segment of the program.

To top it all, the celebrant asked for monetary donations for her chosen charity Gawad Kalinga instead of presents from her guests. Nikki experienced staying in a house of an Aeta family in Pampanga during their immersion in school. There was no electricity in the house and fortunately the community was a recipient of a Gawad Kalinga project that’s why Nikki took the opportunity to ask her guests to be a blessing for these families that would benefit from the project through their monetary gifts.

It was truly a fun and blessed party as everyone enjoyed the food, the cocktail drinks and the dance music while at the same time having the chance to be an angel for those in need. Nikki indeed brought fairy tales back to the city.
